Her interest in the sector can be traced back to a family tradition of immaculate grooming. "My mother had always ensured that our grooming was immaculate, not for vanity but to radiate self respect and confidence. She would say, 'You brush your teeth with toothpaste and apply deodorant to underarms because you want to feel, taste and smell good so it only makes sense to take the same pride on your whole body'" says Ms Monte. Ms Monte's mother developed a home-made blend that has been perfected, over the course of about forty years, to eliminate odour, refresh and moisturize the genital area. "This was the product that I grew up with which is a part of my daily routine. It made me think, why isn't everyone using this product? It is genius!". This led Ms Monte on the pursuit of bringing this product to market. However, unlike many other products, the challenge wasn't getting the product ready to go to market, it was rather getting the market ready for the product. With a dearth of information available on genital hygiene, Ms Monte has had to vociferously incorporate a considerable hygiene education component into the product's marketing campaign and the company's website now boasts a comprehensive hub for such information. While doing this, Ms Monte has also been busy extending the product line to include solutions for every approach to cleansing. Currently, the range includes the Kiss Down Under™ Unisex Cleansing Wash, After Grooming Gel, Unisex Exfoliating Scrub, Everyday Hygiene Mist, Natural Miracle Stick and Unisex Hygiene Wipes. The range is also water soluble, free from drying alcohol, artificial colours and fragrances making the range suitable for people with sensitive skin and allergies to synthetic materials.
